Our Manufacturing Process For 3 Phase Transformers

The manufacturing process begins with the core, which is typically made from silicon steel sheets, specifically Cold Rolled Grain Oriented (CRGO) steel. The core is designed with a three-limb configuration, and the sheets are cut according to the required specifications. The core sheets are then:

  • Coated with inorganic insulation
  • Assembled using mitered joints between limb and yoke plates
  • Banded with fiber-glass tape to reduce noise and maintain tightness
  • Treated with a corrosion-resistant coating

The winding of the coils is a critical step in transformer manufacturing:

  • Coils are wound using copper magnetic wire or continuously transposed conductor
  • Circular concentric windings are commonly used for most transformers
  • The winding type is selected based on voltage requirements and application

Insulation is crucial for the transformer’s performance and longevity:

  • High-density pressboard is used to create spacers and insulation cylinders
